Scottish Status: Common - stable. UK Status: Common
UK distribution shows a small but significant decline, but distribution appears to be expanding in Scotland (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: 11th May to 16th June  (one early record of 24th April)
