CLOUDED DRAB Orthosia incerta
Common in the northeast and probably under recorded elsewhere. May have increased as Rosie said that it was scarce in Region 1.

UK distribution shows a small increase but a significant  decrease in abundance since 1970 (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: 11th March to 3rd June
