Fairly common Scattered records across the County in recent years indicate that it has expanded its range in the County since the 1970s. UK Status: Common UK distribution has changed little but abundance has decreased substantially since 1970 (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths) First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: 1st May to 23rd July.
