Scattered records across the County in recent years indicate that it has expanded its range in the County since the 1970s.
Said by Rosie to be scarce in Region 4 only

Scottish Status: Common - stable. UK Status: Common
UK distribution has changed little but abundance has decreased substantially since 1970 (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: 15th May to 23rd July.  (Late records in August & September could indicate secod generations)
