Scattering of records across the County but probably under recorded because of flight period. 
Scottish Status: Common - stable. UK Status: Common
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: 10th January to 15th March.  One out of normal season on 28th November
Numbers in the UK have decreased severely since 1970 (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
