Widespread and fairly common in small numbers, with occasional records in double figures
Described by Rosie as local but not uncommon. Recorded from seven of the Rothamsted sites.

Major long-term decrease in UK abundance and significant decline in distribution (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness:17th March to 28th May
